We are selling our house in France. For various reasons, we have not been able to get over there for about four years (!) so have just stuck it on Ebay. We bought it as an easily accessible base for touring in Europe but, by the time we had finished doing it up, life did that thing that it does and all our plans changed.

So, the reason for sticking it in here specifically (if allowed) is that we bought it 'cos it has all the important ingredients: a garage large enough for at least six bikes and a bar next door :)

The Ebay ref is : 181340554120

Could you not keep it and rent it out as a holiday home to folks that want a cheep holiday? get some colaterol back in your pocket? you can get so much more money back in rent than just flogging it out right.

Plus you still have a place in France to stay if you had time to get out there but atleast your not loosing money.

Good luck with the sale tho and hope you get some dollar back. ;)

Thanks Noise. It's one of those houses that is lovely to stay in but not suitable to rent for holidays. There's only one bedroom, no pool (although room to put one) and you need to do things like turn the water off/drain the pipes if you won't be going back for a while. Just a little too much faff if you're paying someone rent!

Come on Kate why won't you post it for? Surely DHL can deliver it for a tenner :)

Lovely place and dead easy to get to. Also, if you fancy the scenic route, the D108 is a fabulous road!

You just know you'd get home from work and find one of those bloody cards put through the door.

'We tried to deliver your house but you were out. It has been returned to it's country of origin'
