Noise Posted January 23, 2014 Share Posted January 23, 2014 I have light sensitive eyes (i think) i get blinded near enough every morning and night due to knob heads in modern cars that have stupid lights, i tend to just look just above the car or to where the kerb should be and slow down. I never hit the brakes i just ease off the gas and once im happy i can see better which i normally in a matter of seconds i get going again. Thing is most cages these days have automatic light adjustment, plus automatic every fucking thing else, and the nut behind the wheel cant be tossed to make sure they are working correctly (as Ttasky said) most folk think that they can just stick the key it and go 365 days a year but in reality i think the modern cars need more looking after that a car from the late 80's - late 90's i have a 1997 Toyota MR2 and all i have to do is throw some 710 down its neck and some 99Ron fuel and she's happy. and Kev...............................your a twat Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I can lob a string of high explosive shells with pinpoint accuracy from 2,000 yards out and be relocating before the first one has even landed. Also there's a difference between reflective and refractive light, HIDs in reflective lenses are fine....they still shine the light where it's supposed to go, refractive lenses are just dicks and bounce the light everywhere. HIDs in fog lights are horrible as well since they shoot the light everywhere. Also if I saw anyone fucking with my truck they'd have broken things themselves... ALSO, HIDs in projectors blind you quite a bit if they're either aimed incorrectly, or going over a hill... yet somehow I haven't smashed because of lights. There are bigger things to worry about than smashing peoples headlights because YOU think they're too bright. up.yours Posted January 23, 2014 Share Posted January 23, 2014 i had mine checked and tested by an R A C recommended garage ( the arches bolton ) none of my colleagues have complained when i travel towards them going over road humps and up inclines, it passed it's mot with them fitted the other week also... i havn't fit them as a fashion accessory , i fit them as i often go off road and thought they would put more light down in the fields on these dark nights, they don't though. as for sitting out side mcds . nah ! only when im on the bike waiting for drewpy to escort me somewhere.. nayruf Posted January 24, 2014 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Hi I have been following this post with some amusement, living in an area with poor or no street lighting, I often have found the lights of oncoming vehicles blinded me, making me resort to following the mental picture of the road ahead and glancing at the kerb, centre line and hedge row to obtain reference points as to where the road has gone. I had an eye test my sight passed the regulatory vision level for reading a number plate. I found out that my vision was unbalanced, one eye focused better than the other, I got some glasses to correct this, I found that the oncoming vehicles still blinded briefly as before but I also found that I was able to see through the glare slightly better, I am not suggesting that anyones vision is poor, but at £21, a NHS eye test might be a good buy, Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Campaman Posted January 24, 2014 Share Posted January 24, 2014 What I find more dangerous is the idiots that don't check their lights are working and what you thought was a motorbike coming down the country lane turns out to be a dick in a 4x4 with only one headlight working. The blinding thing is not going to change, there used to be a time when all headlights were basically the same, a round Lucas one, now we have all these different shapes, with different lenses all at different heights with different kinds of bulbs.
