jimmy1604
Good evening all I have bought my son a 2009 xt125x, a week later the speedo has stopped working after ringing my local yamaha dealer for a new one i was shocked to be quoted in excess of £300.00 for a new one, Is there any other speedo that would fit in its place, only paid £800.00 for the bike so was trying to source something cheaper. Thanks in advance for your help jim

welshwan
after market would be a lot cheaper buddy, have a look at the wr250f project in the project section. John fitted one to his bike and set it up on his own...think it was about £100?
Grouch
Don't buy a yamaha speedo it will just f up again. The XT 125 models are notorious for it. I fitted a trail tech vapour speedo to my XT and it's spot on.

I can recommend them. Whatever you decide don't buy another Yamaha one.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Trail-Tech-Vapor-Digital-Speedo-Dashboard-Stealth-Motorcycle-Universal-/400591264631?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d45199b77
