Awesome let me go swap that out jow. Any thoughts on where I could find the oil pump? Would like to get her back to stock as possible!

Did you remove the r/h engine cover, front piece ? just coz tank aint there ,pump could be ther

I can tell you for sure it's a IT look at the gas tank it's plastic.+ CORRECT FENDERS

The oil tank would have been attachet to the air box on the right hand side of the box,find a picture of one/or just make a box that will fit in the space behind the carb and make it out of aluminum/tin and fit a big air filter one from a 125/250yz wod sufice,the air intake to feed the carb keep it as straight a fit you can make

If the pump is there DO NOT hook it up untill you remove it and,dissamble it, clean it,check it for scores in the bore of the pump or it will cause SQUEEKKKKKKKKK,THUD/ BANG :(

Now you have it running the first thing you should check is,, the left hand side crank seal(sitting on the bike) pull the cover of and spray some wd-40 at it while its running if it changes revs then it's ,gone hard and needs to be replaced.If you dont it will go BANG

Yeah it's idling and running well but I think it has some piston slap going on because I hear a rev-consistent clicking noise that sounds like it's coming from the head area. Also like someone else said, the oil pump would've been attached to the airbox which was gone when I got the bike sadly. Also while the front fender is in good condition, the rear appears to have been cut in half or so and is cracked pretty badly. The tank on the other hand is in great shape.

I put in 93 octane fuel and 2 bottles of Lucas 2-stroke oil in a 2 gallon gas can and mixed it and poured that in. Also added about 200 mL of Mobil 1 synthetic motorcycle oil to the oil sump(couldn't break the oil drain bolt myself and didn't want to break it) and she started right up on the first kick. I'm gonna have to get quieter exhaust though because the stock pipe is LOUD!! I really appreciate all the feedback and input too guys!

No the pump is in the motor under the righ cover in front of the clutch AS BLACKHAT said. The oil tank was attached to the air box and a line running to the pump.

The rattle might be normal the old air cooled motors were quiet noisey,but to pull the top end off is quite easy to check what you have.

LMao too loud of exhaust it's a stock pipe on the bike and other than repacking the silencer thats what any proper pipe will sound like,cork it up and you loose power.

How big were the bottels of 2t oil seem rather rich of a mix for 2 gallons,I know a imperial gallon is different but???? 40 to 1 is still 40 parts gas to 1 part oil. Ya might need to get the caculator out and fix that mix. Or your going to eat spark plugs from fouling.Normaly bottles of oil have a chart on the back X oil to X gas=40:1

Ah I didnt see he said the oil tank. Yeah it was the lucas small bottles made for mixing and I followed their chart on the back to make sure it was 40:1. 1 little 2.3oz(i think?) bottle was for 1 gallon to make 40:1 so I bought a 2 gal tank and mixed 2 bottles with 2 gallons of gas.

Honestly I think the bike sounds great and pulls like a beast but I do live in a suburban area so unless I can quite it down a little I might have to stick to daytime riding. How much power would I lose from repacking and putting a silencer on it? I'm not really trying to get the max HP and race it or anything so I'm not concerned with a slight loss.

In order to pull the top end do I just need to remove the spark plug and the 4 bolts at the top of the head? Sorry for the million and a half questions lol :)

Just the head bolts you can see around the plug to remove the head. It will give you sight of the piston and bore to check for any slap or scoring to the bore. If you have a silencer in the exhaust, repacking is an easy thing to do. Just get some stuff off eBay and remember to hold it in place with some wire. Some of the us 2 stroke models had a forestry approved baffle but I am not sure if any were for the IT. Getting the baffle out can be a pain in the rear. Years of carbon build up stick them in making it tough sometimes to slide the baffle out.

I can well see this to be the case, ther is no pump on this bike, never was.

The giveaway is the clutch cover has no pump housing at the front, There wont be any oil feed spigot on the carb or inlet manifold either

ok so that solves the issue of locating the oil pump and reservoir.

I'm going to a bike shop later this afternoon to get an air filter that fits the carb. Also I was going to take a video of the bike running so you guys could hear the clicking sound and possibly help me identify it. There's another clicking sound that stops whenever the clutch lever is applied too. Does that mean the clutch cable needs replacing or is it something down in the clutch itself?

Also it does have a US Forestry approved spark arrestor and I'm guessing a baffle although she's still loud as all hell :)

On another side note, I was taking it around the neighborhood to see how she was running and already had 2 people ask if I'd sell it lol.

The one I have for my TS250 is about 4 inches longer than the standard one but is quieter. Nothing wrong with a loud 2 stroke though.

Well I just noticed there's a slight exhaust leak right at where the exhaust piping meets the head. Would that be causing the clicking sound you think? And ill upload the video in a few minutes for you guys.

Any suggestions on the clutch cable thing? Let me know because I'm about to head to the bike shop for the correct air filter and would like to get it all in one stop!
