I`ve ordered another ball (they`re only ZAR2,00) and if it goes in nicely I`ll leave it there. The action when turning is not smooth so will check it with 23 balls in.

I wouldnt, if it's not smooth it's because the races are indented/pitted

I think Sacha has if right here. Use the right number and the right size. A quarter inch or 6mm is pretty standard but you need to check that. Once you get the size you can buy them off fleabay very cheaply. They need to be packed out with grease as well. It is a pain to replace them so I would do it once and do it properly.

New race did not fit properly so will replace the set with 22 as per the manual.

Top tip...missing race was sitting stuck inside the stem...now I know where to find the little buggers that go missing.
