April 30, 201410 yr Author Well there it is..some issues still: - Still has quite a nasty miss in midrange revs (must still change accelerator pump diaphragm) - Hard cold starting (had to use quickstart again this morning) - Orange peel on the tank paint job - Exhaust looks terrible (actually could use a new header pipe) - Seat needs attention (a blue seat..whose idea was that??) Otherwise very happy with it..these issues can wait as I need a road bike, so the RD project will take priority.
July 22, 201410 yr Author Removed plug for inspection today as bike takes about 40 kicks to start. Still gonna checkout carb but thought would check plug gap..its within spec.
July 23, 201410 yr Author You not kidding..can hardly walk after all that kicking..XT500 easier to start. I would think it has some sort of fueling problem. Gonna climb into that carb soon..would just like to get Elsie out the way first.
