TMT845
Hello everyone. Once again another YBR is not starting, or should I say the fuel pump is not starting. I put the key in and all the lights come on as normal however I don't hear the fuel pump priming. I have heard how leaving it in the sun can cause problems, however it's not that. I've put it in the shade, chucks many buckets of water on it, left to overnight, charged the battery, checked the fuses and still the fuel pump won't prime. I should also mention that for the last 4 and half months the bike has not once been started as I've been working away at sea for that time. Maybe that might be the cause of my problem. Love to hear some suggestions and help. Thanks

Moderator DirtyDT Posted September 3, 2013 Moderator Share Posted September 3, 2013 Disconnect the fuel pump electrics and see it it primes direct to the battery. If it does then it is the relay or wiring; if it doesn't then replace the pump.
