some sections distinctly uncomfortable to watch,

fortunately somebody in the cinema burst out laughing a couple of times which relieved the tension

Is this the sequel to "The Piano"?

I don't think I want to watch a film where 2 blokes are tickling the ivorys.

this is one scary film, especially seeing MD this way - he does a surprisingly good impression of Liberace

I've no problem with gays and will happily cheer on the likes of Jack Harkness, but...

I *WILL* take issue with anyone who dresses like THAT ( ) and expects me to take them seriously. Lady Gaga and a few others can make it work... Libbie and Douggie there cannot

Liberace was a fantastic piano player and entertaining showman, he had a massive following and was the most highly paid artist for a while but there was also a secret side to his life which he tried to hide from the world, his performance and personna were excessive and so was his private life - my mrs was keen to go and see the film, thinking of her childhood enjoyment, watching his shows with her Nan but neither of us quite expected the other Liberace - really couldn't watch it again despite commendable acting

Most people have some hidden secrets... I sometimes wonder if I was off sick the day everyone else got theirs!!

Just glad society has changed enough that most of those who do no wrong have no reason to hide, or at least get legal protection.
