Nightfirez Posted June 12, 2013 Share Posted June 12, 2013 just as a random brain fart as im sourcing parts for the SR125 ive been working on does any one know of some one who has tried to do the SR180 conversion i can source a top end from the states but mostly wondering if it would fit at the moment my best guess is possibly could be fun for a future cafe racer project or similar yes i like insane projects ! As for the upgrade, dont forget that with a bigger top end you've got a lot more whirling gear going on inside that engine, the SR top ends werent exactly known for being strong either, other than that i can only suggest crank balancing, and strengthen/upgrade anything upwards from that, also be prepaired for it to fail at some point as im not aware of anybody here doing that mod, but if/when you do run into problems make a project thread!
