huff_diggler Posted June 27, 2013 Author Share Posted June 27, 2013 Hi Huff assume you called someone in to have a look at it, nice to hear that you got it going. stay safe.cheers fella, I took my Z for her Mot and spoke to one of the mechanics at the garage, see what he thought it was, just on the off chance, he bet me a fiver it was the pick up, said he had exactly the same problem with a gpz900 some years ago, the only electrical system in the engine tied up with ignition was the pick up, get warm as the engine gets warm, breaks down and shuts off until engine is cold, I owe a fiver, but I'm well happy, in the meantime, I've had and unplugged every connector, cleaned and degreaser every terminal, took the cdi apart and re soldered every joint, took off and washed the carbs, had new plugs, all looking for the fault, so many jobs jobbed, been a grand voyage of discovery, and something I wouldn't have done if it wasn't for the fault.
