Moderator DirtyDT Posted May 25, 2013 Moderator Share Posted May 25, 2013 Personally I think you are on the edge here. You have been allowed to publicise your own even without the correct level of membership but starting to advertise others is taking it a little too far, in my opinion. The site welcomes members whether members are people with a biking interest to people who want to sell their wares. It offers free membership, which allows most aspects of the site to be accessed, to paid membership which allows access to additional areas etc. It also has a Corporate membership for companies. I have removed the links in your last post as it appears to me that, apart for advertising your own events for free, you now believe that it is acceptable to advertise companies that are supporting your own business, without supporting this site. You have only posted 3 times, each time promoting your own events.
laura46
I am sorry if I have offended, I have been involved in the event yes but all I am trying to do is raise money for charity that is close to my heart and get promote an event I think bikers will be interested in. I am not organising an event to benefit myself or trying to promote anyone elses company, Ben was a pal of mine and I worked in his team in the superbikes and was at cadwell that day in august and I just want to raise some money and drum up support for his charity. The reason for the link was not to advertise a business but to show the sort of items that are up for grabs at the charity event rather than your normal bottle of wine or box of chocolates you get in other raffles. I am not on the forum just to promote the event and I actually have a huge history with bikes and racing in my family but am just so busy with everything I have not had time to post about anything else. I wont post about the event or prizes again Thanks
