ErikP
Hi, folks! My name is Erik Peters and I would like to ask for a helping hand. I’m a German motorcycle journalist and I intend to produce a motorcycle travel video about Scotland soon. Therefore, I am looking for people who live in Scotland and can show me some typical Scottish things. It would be great to find someone, who, for example, participates in the highland games or someone who plays the backpipe. Maybe someone here is a chef and can show me how to prepare a real good haggis (I really like it!:-)). And, of course, it would be great to meet some bikers who can show me their favourite places or pubs. There are so many other things I am looking for. So, any ideas I should also report about in beautiful Scotland are more than welcome.I really would appreciate your help. Cheers Erik www.motorradreisender.de HEre is a short link so you can see what I do...
Sacha
Ganz toll! Schade, daß mein Deutsch so schlecht ist... spreche nur kinder Deutsch. You might not get a great response here. It's customary to post an introduction in the new member's section. Can't help you out with Scotland as I'm in Idaho. Should be a fun trip though. EDIT - sorry this is in the new member section! May be time for bed.
Grave
I'm a Scot and have to confess I do not know anyone who is or ever has been a bagpipe player or even attended a Highland games. You may have better luck asking here: Blue Angels: http://www.blueangelsscotland.com/ Central Scotland Bikers: http://www.centralscotlandbikers.com/ Scottish Motorcycle Club: http://www.scottishmotorcycleclub.org.uk/ The one place I would recommend you visit if you're in Scotland other than Glencoe (obviously!) would be here: http://www.stadiumguide.com/celticpark/ Grave(ly fiendish)

I personally know a piper here in Idaho. We have Highland games all over here too. Always fun to watch them turn the caber, but I think the sheaf toss has to be my favorite.
