Wilton
Hello everyone, I'm currently driving a Typhoon 125 but soon I'm going to be moving up to my first geared bike and after doing various research, I've became very fond of the DTX125. I think it would be ideal for me but the only problem is I really do think the tyres are too small (width wise), which leads me to my question - could I put bigger tyres on a DTX125? What would it affect? What would be the cost? What make of tyre would you suggest? Is it a simple no? Any information would be helpful.
Grouch
A DT 125 X is a SuperMoto and the wheels/tyres are a lot wider than the trail/enduro DT's.
Moderator DirtyDT Posted April 18, 2013 Moderator Share Posted April 18, 2013 It's a "no" from me. The supermoto tyres are fine. Fat tyres do not mean better grip.
welshwan
You should be fine with the wheels it comes with, i doubt there is much difference between the size of the DT and XT SuMo tires.....and i have had my boot on the ground before now on supermoto tires, the ones it comes with are fine.
