RupertW
Hello all, Recently acquired an AG100 in need of recommissioning, so no doubt will be looking for plenty of advise. I've previously owned a CG125 which was good fun until it fell apart. I'm looking forward to trying two-stroke ownership now!
Moderator DirtyDT Posted February 23, 2013 Moderator Share Posted February 23, 2013 Hi and welcome to the forum. I can't help with the question. I can't actually recall seeing an AG either! 2 strokes .

RupertW
The AG's were primarily designed for agricultural use in New Zealand and Australia, so there are lots of them over there and very few here. There are lots of agricultural bits like dual stands, a clutch lock, low first/second gears lots of racks and crash protection. It seems like a very sturdy bike although I'm not sure why they went with a two stroke engine, is it a Yamaha thing? I'll try to get some pictures up, and maybe start a thread in the projects section.
Moderator Airhead Posted February 23, 2013 Moderator Share Posted February 23, 2013 Its a 2 stroke because at only 100cc back in the day a 4 stroke would have been pretty gutless, coupled with I assume lower production costs thats the way it was back then...It's only recently the emissions thing has killed off the 2t's
