Grouch Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Recently I upgraded my bulbs and ever since the sidelight has stopped working and now my bike will only start when it is on high beam. What could be causing this? I knew I should of just left the lights as they were and not interfered, it has caused loads of problems. Thanks
kenDAWG Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 is the controls for the lights on the same as the electric start button? have you tried starting with no bulbs in? then select high beam see if its the controls ken

dt502001 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hey Grouch a couple of ?? 1 does the bike turn over on low beam? but not start 2 If you pull in the clutch in netural will the bike turn over on low beam? 3 By side light do you mean the signals and is it just the front or front and rear? And do the signal work? 4 Can you start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in?
kenDAWG Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 By side lights I think he means the small bulb in headlight next to main bulb!!
jimmy Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'm thinking, with your own self confessed inexperience in working on bikes, is that you have mixed up / disconnected / disturbed some wiring in the headlamp. Get a wiring diagram take the light off and have a look
