if anyone can help this woud be great. thanks

i have a jog rr and i have been upgrading it i have put a technigas rs exhaust on the bike i then put a high speed vairyator kit with 6.9gram rollers on racing clutch with 21kg tought spring an matching clutch spring a KanN air filter and 78jet on the bike wilst i used my bike it stopped running i was told i had blown my piston so i replaced it with a new barrel, piston an rings all with new gaskets once the bike was back together it still didnt start but when it was turning over the hole at the bottom of the air intake was spitting out petrol.

does anyone know what is happening with my bike or how to solve thease problems.

any ideas will help

many thanks jeremy

sorry that was my step brother he knows nothing everything you see on there i had to tell him maybe this will sound abit clearer........... (he has a thing about putting piston rings on upside down)

i have a yamaha jog 50cc 2011 2 stroke

my problem is there is petrol squerting out the hole closes to the center on the inside as you look at it from where the air filter/air box would go i just wondered if anyone would know anything that would sort of help this problem any ideas and solutions would be great thanks. my carb is a gurtener 12 19mm standard..

upgrades when the problem happened:

tecnigas rs exhaust

high speed variator kit

78 main jet

K&N STYLE!! air filter (not acc K&N he dosent seem to understand that)

21kg tough spring (goes behind the clutch)

matching clutch springs

racing clutch

6.9g rollers

what happened: well i was riding my ped and there was a change in note coming from the engine so i pulled over and my ped just died and when ever i tryed to start it it would turn over but when i put some throttle on to help it start it just bogged down and would not start i told adrenalin pedstop, yamaha and a schootor company in central london and they all say change the barrel, piston and piston rings so i did and there was no change.................

since the problem happeded i changed the barrel, piston, piston rings and all top end gaskets to eliminate that. there is a spark from the spark plug and my ped sound like it wants to start. the petrol is going into the carb and into the piston head know this because it keeps flooding... and i have put the standard air box back on and down jetted my main jet to a 68 which was reccomended my adrenalin pedstop because of my exhaust, veriator kit and rollers but now i hae just noticed that petrol is spitting out or the hole closest to the center or the bottom as you look at it from the air intake side

anything would be a help thank you. Jeremy

p.s my step brothers 600cc bandit is rubbish, a yamaha r1 would piss over it a look a hell of alot better

when your looking at the carb from the air intake where the air filter will attach there is the main hole which you measure to see what mm carb you have well on ther edge as your looking at it there are 2 smaller holes and the hole closest to the center at the bottom itshard to explain. and we i have cleaned the carb but it hasent changed nothing at all. but it filled my sports air filter with petrol and i know it shouldnt do that. one ofmy mates said it might be the electronic chock i have which came standard on my ped when i bought it last june brand new so i dont see why that would be failing already...........

If it happens when the engine is off it is probably the fuel tap.

If it happens when the engine is on it is probably the float or float valve.

You need to answer questions when asked to help with the diagnosis. My crystal ball is in the wash and I am still honing my telepathy skills.

yeah the arrow on the piston is pointing to the exhaust and its when im turning the engine over trying to start it and the yeah the reed valves looked fine when i had a look and my ped dont have a fuel tap i have a cacume carb and the float where the main jet is is fine me and my uncle a mechanic both looked at it and theres nothing wrong with that but neither of us can understand why its spitting petrol put. im thinking investing in a new carb is the best option but i would rather get this one working

ok thank you and where the main jet is at the bottom of the carb when you take it out a kittke metal tube falls out i had always put it back in the same way but the last time i changed my jet (since the bike hasnt been running) i think i put it in the other way round thinner end going in first would this have affecting myped with the petrol spitting out and it not starting?? im going to turn it back round the next chance i get but its been snowing here for the whole of today so i havent got a chance yet

you'd have to post photos, see FAQ's subforum to New Members forum for 'how to'.
