As the Southern Softies appear to be getting their act together and organising a meet, what about the Norn'ers and Jocks doing the same

Speaking as one of the soft sotherners that made the 400mile round trip for the last 3 years.

You have squires..... Hence the need for something further south....

400 mile round trip, what bike was that on? i wouldnt do that on my dt no way, would rather suck a fart out of a camels arse.

Tdr 250. With the ride out and getting lost (tradition ask blackhat) more like 500 for the weekend.

2 wheels did it the first year on his dt. From ireland it was more like 800 miles.

how far north are you talking about ??

I am in dumfries , not sure how many north of the border ( gods country ) there are on here.

Where were you thinking of as I'm in Duham if that's fare enough north for you just let me know when and where and I'll see if I can get to the meet

this topic should be in ride out's and meets section.

Squires is a great place and a fair few here take time out to make the trip.

blackhat always gets lost, he follows us then gets bored and waves as he blasts past us and that's the last time we see him for a few hours :D

do you remember a red capri with triple exhausts and cobra engine lol

dont remember a capri,

that would have been about 1985 to 1988

i started off with a alfa romeo ti sprint

moved onto escort xr3i with all injection parts replaced with twin weber 45`s

first mate had mk1 escort with 2.1 lotus engine

second mate, full rally prepared avenger.

used to go to kames track at muirkirk on a sunday for a blast about

those were the days,,, when you could get away with loads of stuff

running on 4 star and not a catalytic convertor in sight, just a lot of popping and banging
