Arancara
Hey everyone, my names Alex. I've just bought a new YBR 125 and I've never rode before, so this is a whole new game for me. Did my CBT this Saturday and picked the bike up the same day. Looking forward to learning more and working up to a bigger bike. I've had experience with working on cars a fair amount as my other toy is a VW Golf 1.8T currently pushing 200bhp yet I find the ~10bhp bike more fun! Noise
Welcome to the club Alex. Yer bikes are a lot more fun than Cages. I drive an MG ZT 2.5l V6 and i tend to find my self trying to drive in the middle of my lane and i don't think the wife like's that when shes passenger lol get out on the bike as much as you can get your confidence up and get your self in for the big boys test soon. Bigger bikes are far more easier to ride

bippo
Hey Alex - a fellow YBR owner! Welcome to the forum! You're right, I love jumping on the YBR instead of clambering into the car. So much slower, but it still puts a grin on my face!
Sacha
to the YOC Alex! Congrats on your new addiction.

Arancara
Thanks everyone! I did the CBT with Motopass in Welling at the Haris academy, sadly its not your old bike, its newely register 62 plate. Only thing is I'm struggling finding a nice place to put front L plate on. Also I have already fitted a Puig screen, will have to get some photos up.
tgsm7
Ah other side of Kent. One day ill find it haha Did you get a bracket with the plates to fit on the front fork?
Arancara
Sadly not, I just ordered an adhesive one, gonna chuck it on the puig windscreen as its blacked out. It's on the side poking out the forks which is annoying as it flaps about. Where in Kent are you as I live in gravesend. Loving the bike so far, shame it isn't a bit more powerful for the a2 as its a pain when an incline comes up and you start dropping to 60 with cars merging. Any simple mods that can be done to the bike as I think the puig windscreen completes it.
tgsm7
Not really worth modding it per se, you wont get much back on it. (Although I strapped a cheapo waterproof watch to the left bar, which was pretty useful, oh and a bike bell, which wasnt so useful). Im down in Marden, near Maidstone. Did my cbt and license with Chris White, mainly near your way. Got my bike from Bowen Moto in Chatham. Not much you can do about the power, maybe strip off the luggage rack or tucking yourself behind the screen..... Good choice on the screen by the way, especially this time of year.
