Posted November 5, 201212 yr Hello to you all i'm Rik 41 from the Wirral in Merseyside i first got into bikes when i was about 10 or so my first bike was a 86 DT50MX that was the start of my addiction with bikes, over the next 4 years i changed my bikes alot i had 2 DT50MX's in re/white and black, 1 RD125LC in candy blue, 1 RD125LC 16" front wheel version in red /white, 1 DT125LC the first powervalve one in red/white, 1 RD250LC in blue/white (bloodrunners paint job), 1 RD350LC in blue/white(akai paint job), 1 RGV250L in blue/white, 1 GSXR750L in blue/white and finally 2 RGV250N's as the first one got stolen out of my garage ha i wasn't laughing at the time, i stopped riding for a while because Norwich union were one of the first bike insurers to put up bike insurance and the rest followed they quoted me £3500 for my GSXR750L at the time that was alot of money so thats why my last bike was a RGV alot cheaper, so i hung my leather jacket up as i couldn't ride a 250 anymore to slow. I got back into bikes again in 2000 i got another RGV250N in corona colours (Dream machine Paint) cost me an arm an a leg but worth it then i got a TL1000R in blue/white(a handfull that one) and now i run a GSXR750K7 in blue/white which has been heavily modified and last my DT175MX in black. so hope i didn't bore you to much i will be putting my bike pic's on soon, so hope to have some interesting chat/posts with you YAMAHA lovers................Thanks Rik

November 6, 201212 yr Moderator Hi and welcome to the forum. I remember the Norwich union price hike. Riders were offloading their big cc bikes as quickly as they could and the dealers were full of them. I seem to remember trying to negotiate for a zx10 at the time but the dealer was being too greedy. Ended up with a gsxr in Pepsi colours.
