Elements destroying my my bike

Actually i know of 2 brothers , (1 work for one of em now and the other is an old drinking partner) they both had new escort vans a few years back , one washed ,polished , and loved his to bits washing underneath every week etc, the other just hosed the bodywork on his down and left it to that left mud caked underneath and it actualy lasted longer because the thick layer of mud stopped the wet getting to the metal

There's just no point because as soon as I get home from the jet wash it is dirty again. All the crud will act as a barrier and absorb all the water. It doesn't surprise me. I bet the brother with the corroded van was well gutted, especially after all the time and money he spent on caring for it.

I am another user of ACF50, I also use a cover on my bike but do not have the condensation problems you are having, my cover is silver waterproof material on the outside with a white softer material on the inside.

Are you covering the bike while it is still warm after use, as I suppose that could cause condensation under the cover, I always wait until the bike is cold before covering it.

Iv not used acf 50 before but iv only heard good things about it. I used to leave my bike outside in the cornish weather about 1 minute from the sea, lived under an oxford rainex cover and it was bone dry and good as new when i took it off, would highly recomend one.

No I always let the bike cool down first so it doesn't melt the cover. The odd time I have put the cover on after a ride when it has been raining.

Mines an Oxford cover, I think it's an aquatex or something. Living on the coast I would of thought the salt in the sea air would corrode your bike a lot faster.

Yep you would have thought so, was always rainy and windy down there yet the bike still looks good as new. You should see my girlfriends car! The sea air definitely done that no good..

I think my cover is also an Oxford, maybe its the way the cover lays over the bike, on my Dragstar its a tight fit, so once I have hooked it under the the back mudguard the cover is quite taught and not actually touching much apart from the front mudguard, mirrors, sissy-bar and rear mudguard.
