Hi guys - got a few Yams in the family but after some help with daughter's DT50MX - stolen and recovered tore all the dash and clocks off and twisted wires together. Bought a donor bike for bits with spare ignition and clocks. Refitted and electrics working but no spark - it is a CDI model. Is there any way to test CDI for faults and would shorting all 4 ignition wires together cause this to burn out?

Got a TY250 majesty, FZ600 and FZR1000 exup between us!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Stick the issues up in the workshop section as the new members section is only read by a few of us. Look for any earth that is acting as a kill switch around the ignition and earthing out the coil.
