mental mickey
My mate recently bought a brand new R6 from a wll known Hampshire dealer, which had been painted in a one off livery by a VERY well known bike paint specialist.Unfotuneately he dropped it a few weeks later doing some minor damage. His grandfather owns a well established bodyshop who can repair and paint his bike no problem, except for one major problem, well known paint specialists flatly refuse to tell him the colours used on his bike even when the dealership asked for them! Basically trying to hold him to ransom so that he has to give to them to repair, not cheap I wouldn't wonder.why, when he can have HIS brand new bike repaired by his grandfather for free, would he want to send it hundreds of miles away for who knows how long just because the painters don't want anyone else to have the job.bang out of order.so if your thinking of using you know who, be warned, don't drop it otherwise you stuck with them for the rest of the bikes life unless toy change the paint job completely. Sacha
Seems like your mate should be able to take it to a paint shop that can match the paint using a camera that takes a close-up shot and then converts it to the color. At least I think they do that here in the states. ??
mental mickey
I am a painter at his gramps bodyshop, yeah we can send it to spectrographed but point is we shouldn't have to.we don't hold all our customers ransom when we do bikes , I think it's called customer service!
