Hi all,

i have got a 2010 yamaha xj6n and i have come to start tonight after 3 days not been on,

and she wont start its making a buzzing noise from a black unit next to the battery and my headlight keeps flashing?

please can you help as im confused.

The battery is flat?

Sounds like a starter relay, is your battery holding its charge?

yeah i think battery is holding charge, im not to sure how would i check this?

head light flashes even without the key in its strange!

where is the starter relay?

I'd go with the battery too

right, its a strange one keys are out of ignition and headlight is still flickering i have taken fuse out now

check the loom hasnt been abraded...around the headstock is a good place to look

Sound like a short. Same as Airhead says, look around the headstock. Be careful of fire.

Just once I got it running took for a short ride and my headlight keeps going off???
