About to buy a 1980 Yamaha DT175 from one of my best friends. I am just waiting for him to replace the clutch and get my license.

I am really excited and nervous as I have never ridden a motorcycle before so I am going to take a certification course.

The DT 175 should be perfect for me as I am 5'4" with a 26in inseam and will be using it to ride around San Francisco as well as occasional off-roading trips.

The bike runs great despite the clutch but I do plan on fixing her up as I am able.

Good to find a great community like this to learn from.
