Moderator drewpy Posted April 11, 2012 Moderator Share Posted April 11, 2012 this may bee a newb question - but whats happening at Stafford? only problem is i live alll the way over in the north east of sunny scotland :/ main places i have been ordering parts from are "Gutsibits" and "motomeccaspares" im trying to keep the bike as orig as possable, and for the weight of them, postage was within the weight of a small envilope so it wasnta that bad Stafford county show ground has an international classic bike show twice a year. Blackhat's going for the weekend.I'm sure if you have the thread measurements he could get you some. better still make a trip of it. its in the YOC calender, end of this month it will take you a minimum of 4 hours just to walk roun. and there is always a guzzi vendor there, not sure who it is though! Matthew Duncan
Update starting trying to get the exhaust into a semi decent shape just for mock up - new stainless steel pipes will be bought after, but chrome the current ones will be used just to test and prior to finish,. started off with K-RUST was good, but taking to slow so i used the angle grinder came out not bad actually, might keep them and spray them black incase i decide to go for the cafe racer conversion ( planning on doing it so i dont actually needs to change the current frame, so i would just put a new seat unit and handle bars onto it, and it would be kinda cafe'd?) only problem i has with this exhust was the clamps sheering - bit of a pain in the arse, but doesnt really matter much when you have a grinder
Matthew Duncan
this is my idea for cafe, but im goign to try not to get distracted by that before my resto is done got a new set of stainless bars, as the old ones had perished, so im gonna get them powder coated gold with the wheel to keep for the conversion

Matthew Duncan
will go more indepth about the strip this weekend, but this is all the photos i could get my hands on at the moment, must say, that bike is so simple and the design/layout is really well thought out, its no wonder they still use the same principles on the new guzzi's peace out !
