fitting a rev gauge

how do you wire up a rev gauge to a bike that doesnt have one as standrad

ingnition live to the gauge an earth the gauge to the coil earth terminal same as when fitting them to cars ?

It depends on the make of the tacho. You may need an adapter to make it read right. Often the number of coils makes a difference because if it only counts one signal from one coil, and you have 2 coils, it will only read half the revs.

get an aftermarket one, they have the instructions. I'm assuming one pulse is 1 rev, whether its a multi or single on the same crank?
