jonesboy
Got a 2003 FZS1000 with about 55k on the clock and runs like a charm. However, like it's elderley owner, it has developed a habit of clearing the trip and clock memory all on it's own accord. The odometer is OK but it has happened about three times in the last 4 months - not a big problem, just a bit annoying. Seems to happen at start-up. Any suggestions? We would be most appreciative here in the colonies.
Thumper600
Hey Jonesboy, Wouldn't this happen if the battery is disconnected? Have you checked the terminals?
realrayzor
I think vitamin D is good for memory. can't remember, but i would check your terminals for bad connections and clean them with a wire brush.
jonesboy
As suggested, got all abrasive with the terminals and no problems since. Time will tell. Thanks for the assistance. Gee, that whole European Common market love-in seems to be working out just dandy.
