Hi everyone, my name is Alex Vindis

I'm a third year uni student at UCF in Penryn, Cornwall....

I'm currently just passed my motorbike test on a XJ6 Diversion, I liked the bike so much that I bought one.

I've recently just started a minor project which is self directed and of course I wanted to do it on motorbike safety since thats all everyone who doesn't ride talks about. I will only ask if anyone has any ideas in terms of safety or anything you think is vital for motorbike riding or something that would make riding easier or safer, please just send me your ideas, I'll be on there pretty much everyday checking for messages so I will make sure to listen in.....

Thanks much appreciated......

One more thing, it can be anything at all: something on the bike, on the rider or passenger, etc..... I look forward to hearing from you.

a total ban would do it but falling that:

compulsory dayglo clothing

compulsory lights on

abs on all bikes

ban on nighttime riding

those leg shield thinggies

bhp capped to 15 bhp

intelligence test to see if Darwin's theory was correct

minimum age to be 60

200 separate tests to get a full licence, each one more expensive than the last

only veggies can hold a licence

that would do for a start.

and a hello to all the guinea pigs in the newbs section would have helped.

Mon dieu I have been discovered.

I forgot the last one:

only French and German people can apply for a licence. make this another European law.

I don't really think it can get safer.

The only three things that are consistent in motorcycle accidents are either the rider being a twat/asleep/inexperienced, the other road user being a twat/asleep/inexperienced or the conditions being unavoidable.

None of these can really be altered much, I'm afraid.

Have eyes in the back and sides of your head and more than anything, assume evertone else is a wanker who has just passed their test so therefore they will pull out in front of you.
