Campaman Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Campaman, it looks like leathy is right and the earlier classic models came with pegs as standard. Look forward to seeing your bike in the gallery! I have now managed to get a couple of pics into the gallery... Title: My 1998 XVS650 Dragstar Classic
Toutsuite Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 Cheers Leathy! I'm going to get the bike ACF50'd as soon as poss. The bike came with the saddlebag supports but no saddlebags when I bought it. Got these (in fake leather) from Custom Cruisers. I've found they're very practical.
Toutsuite Posted April 2, 2014 Author Posted April 2, 2014 Resurrecting an old thread! The stud count has been somewhat reduced... And my two babies!
Noise Posted April 3, 2014 Posted April 3, 2014 Looks really good Tout! much better after the stud cull. Your Cb500 looks very tidy too.
Toutsuite Posted April 4, 2014 Author Posted April 4, 2014 Your Cb500 looks very tidy too. ...apart from two fairly rusty rear shocks, grotty rims, oh and some cunt pushing the bike over where I'd parked it and denting the lovely new Fuel end can But then she is my work horse; still a shitload of fun though!
Toutsuite Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 Update: replaced the oem screen with a rather slimmer and better looking one (the ranger from national cycle). Oh, and a new saddle.
Toutsuite Posted October 7, 2018 Author Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) Still can't figure out how to upload photos since p/bucket has gone $$$. Any admins figure it out yet? Edited October 7, 2018 by Toutsuite

Ryengoth Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Very nice. Looks like a model I may be aiming at now! I am just getting into bikes and it looks like rebuilding could be a hobby I might stick with. I often jump between 'fancies' as the groovy factor wears off and I learn everything I can. Unlike cars, I can fit multiple projects in my garage which might be a BAD thing!
