Ttaskmaster
Always ride as if you really MEAN it!!! In other words, get the best kit you can. Try these from Avon: Front tyres Storm 2 Ultra VP2 Sport VP2 Supersport Pressure front: 2.5 bar (36psi) Front size: 120/60ZR17 (55W) Rear tyre Storm 2 Ultra VP2 Sport VP2 Supersport Pressure rear: 2.9 bar (42psi) Rear size: 160/60ZR17 (69W) As for pads - I always recommend the HH Sintered type. Slightly more money than organic pads, but SO much better!

CORRIEBOY
surely 180/55? Yes a 5EB has 180 section on back. I have Bridgestone BT021 on at the moment and they are superb in wet or dry Or try the new BT023 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bridgestone-BT023-Tyre-Pair-YAMAHA-YZF-R6-/250820012646?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a6609aa66#ht_1311wt_901
Moderator DirtyDT Posted May 27, 2011 Moderator Share Posted May 27, 2011 I have just put Vipers on my SV. Sport on the back and Supersport on the front. One little rear slide in the wet but I was cranked over on a roundabout and didn't have many miles on them. I like them but be aware that the carcass is very rigid and they do give a harsher ride when compared to Sporttecs I had on it. I would get them again based on about 500 miles of riding on mainly fast country roads and duel carriageways (wet and dry).
