December 8, 200420 yr Truth Be Known......Steve McQueen never even attempted that fence! ........his old riding partner Bud Ekins actually made that jump on a Triumph painted to look like a German Military bike. Thats why he didn't make it then it's that bloody Trumpets fault #-o
December 19, 200420 yr Truth Be Known......Steve McQueen never even attempted that fence! ........his old riding partner Bud Ekins actually made that jump on a Triumph painted to look like a German Military bike. McQueen and Ekins spent a day building the ramp and taking turns jumping it. But when it was time to film the director wouldn't let his "Star" do it. Mcqueen was also one of the Germans chasing "himself' on film as the stunt guys couldn't keep up with him. Get the book "Steve McQueen. A bad boy in Holywood" and you'll be surprised what he got up too. He truly was a nutter!
