Hi, this is probably a very old question and one that i have yet to get my head around!!!

I checked my oil today, by resting the dipstick in the hole and taking a reading, it was just about up to the three quarter line, i have had so many mixed responses on how to check the level. This is what an online manual says to do to check my Yamaha Majesty.

ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION

1. Stand the scooter on a level surface.

Make sure the scooter is upright when inspecting

the oil level.

2. Start the engine and let it warm up for a few

minutes.

3. Turn off the engine.

Sweet, thanks, it just doesnt make that bit very clear in the manual, screw it in, dont screw it in?

Well that is the way i will do it from now on!!!
