G'day all,

I've been lurking around here for a while now so it's about time i did my intro seeing as i recently purchased a bike ( SR 250 ).

I'm 53 years old, live in Melbourne Australia. Just getting back into motorcycling after approx 30 years.

I've just replaced the exhaust on the bike with a much more free flowing unit which required a bit of adjustment to carby ( needle height ) however engine is still stalling when stopping with clutch in. I've decided to leave this as i've just pulled the clutch out as it is slipping.

I know i shouldn't do an intro and ask questions at the same time, however i noticed when i drained the oil that it was filled with way more oil than specified on the side cover, would this be causing the clutch to slip ? Also if anyone could advise on the minimum thickness of the clutch plates on this model and procedure for adjustment?

Great site for info and even better bikes.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome guys, love both your monica's, there both exactly what my kids and wife think of me. Thanks for the advise on the oil and still can't find a cheap manual on ebay.
