Posted February 24, 201114 yr I have a 2009 XVS1100 and have a problem with my keys! The 1st key travelled some 30,000K around Australia before the shaft of the key just snapped in half! The dealer replaced this key under warranty and I managed 3000K before there were cracks in the shaft. The 2nd spare key which came with the bike has done 250k and is showing a distinct 'banana bend'. The dealer is very non plussed as they have never seen this before. The keys have never had rough treatment (as in being left in the bottom of my bag etc). After every ride it is hung on a peg in my room. There are no other keys on the key ring. Does anyone here have any ideas please?
