well you know how it goes.

managed to talk the wife around this as a bike for my son when he is 16(in 3 years)

so i got meself a gilera 50cc thingy, looks cool and will be my next project when I finish the tracker!

meanwhile I can start collecting parts info etc. anyone know what model it is?

I like it Drewpy but you know me and my love of mopeds.

It's a Gilera touring I think, as opposed to the trail version with cross braced bar, high front guard and upswept exhaust or the Enduro with its number plates and even higher upswept pipe.

I can see it's not a 'Touring moped' so it looks to be a 'Touring RS'

The seat looks short though? it does have pillion pegs. :unsure:

thats the point Kev, Its a long term project for my son for when he's 16.

Already got a suppiler (bob wright)and the spares situation is really healthy :P

Looks like a good project Drewps, the last RD i restored was worse than that, and he will have a decent bike rather than a twist and go hairdrier
