I've been quoted between £42 - £48 for a sealed unit which I think is on the expensive side. Not keen on ordering from eBay, can anyone recommend a good reliable online store?
Moderator mervin Posted July 2, 2010 Moderator Posted July 2, 2010 TBH i would go too a battery specialist/motor factor, some online stores look cheap but by the time you add postage then some you need to buy the acid seperatly it does not work out much cheaper, google battery specialist and your location to find one, oh and look for a decent make one cheap ones are a false economy, the previous owner of my TDR put a cheap battery in it about 15 months ago it is not holding it charge very well now and was not a year after i got it, does not matter cos that is kickstart, but if it had an electric leg it would be a pain in the ass merv

Gas up - Let's Go! Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Hein Gerricke ? As mentioned earlier, the problem is the Acid, unless you get a Gel battery, but these are much more expensive.

Wemoto,s batteries do not come with Acid unless it is a gel battery i think, so any battery from wemoto you need to add acid and most need 2X 500 mil packs at £2 each + extra postage, i know i got a battery for me Z650 from em the other day, by the time i paid for it all i had saved about £3 on an exide battery from the local specialist

It was £45 in the end but it was filled in front of me and we had a nice chat about the weather and motorcycles. It was a YUASA and given that I was being quoted up to £63 by other dealers I thought that was ok.
