I am the new and present owner of a yamaha RD250LC with matching frame/engine numbers 4L1-501558. ( 1980ish production?)

Unfortunately I do not having any other identification which would enable me to register/ apply for V5 in the UK. I suspect that the machine may have been destined for the Holland market as the previous owner told me this and the odometer is "Km".

I would be grateful if you could advise me the date of manufacture and how I would be able to obtain a dating certificate

thanks

Stavros
