Honestly, I don't get this.

The fuel tank is 3/4 full. If I run the bike the fuel valve "on", it bogs sometimes and generally seems to struggle to get fuel, especially at low rpms. But when I run it on "reserve", it runs well.

Could it be just some crap in the valve, or can there be a more profound problem somewhere?

It sounds like the petrol tap.

Take it off the tank and take it apart to give it a good clean. I would use carb cleaner to clean it. I would guess that the top net filter (used when on main fuel) is blocked and the lower net filter (used for reserve) is clearer.

You can get a repair kit for these in case you want to referb the whole unit and the net filters are still available new.

Thanks DT! I'll take it out and give it a good cleaning. It's sort of mind calming to have Res
