By no means was I at it's 16,000 rev limit...and I only stopped at 144mph because I ran out of clear road. Have you redlined your R6, and how fast were you going? How fast will my 2005 R6 go, in your opinion?

If a gendarrme or police catch you doing that you will have your licence taken away on the spot and the bike confiscated , just in case you did not know, 30 mph or 50 kph over the posted limit is an instant ban over there, and if there is no other qualified driver in the vehicle they will confiscate it , no doubt charging you for the pleasure of taking it off and then a release fee /storage etc when yo come too retrieve it , and watch out for dark blue scoobys they have em and can drive em, also they may only have had bmw,s in the past but now are using some slightly faster bikes, dont try to outrun a french bike cop cos while you are trying to corner with your knee sliders on the floor he will pass you sitting bolt upright on the outside merv

March 29, 200915 yr Was this done on a dyno or paddock stands? I dont know to be honest i just found it. Id hope it was on a dyno - would u want to risk it on paddock stands? That could go down hill fast, but would have been a quality video!!!
April 5, 200915 yr i will take a guess at about 160mph ish not sure the 2001 zx6r can do 155mph so because of the newer tech i would guess at 160mph as i sead I have a 2008 R6 and maxed it out at 164mph on a slight incline...had plenty of road left, but she didnt have much, if anything!
April 5, 200915 yr Top speed should be around 165mph-ish. However, I doubt you will ever see it. Unless you are riding downhill, you will never redline any bike in top gear.
April 5, 200915 yr Hi there. I had a 2000 R6. I had it flat out in 6th down a long straight road. It went 165mph. No more than that. I had done nothing to the bike apart from a nice ART can with hi rise link pipe.
April 7, 200915 yr i got 2008 r6 fasted i've been is 164mph with a couple thousend rpm left but the question is who is the fastest round a bend (hanging off bike) me 149mph!!

April 7, 200915 yr at the time i was trying to put the driver of ferrari f430 in his place but failed! now at home hanging head in shame never been beaten by a car before
April 10, 200915 yr 165 i managed out of mine arnt you 17 lol? restricted the speedo might be reading 165mph. but u aint doing that.. the video was done on a padock stand also, i presume all you riders have done these speeds on closed private roads?
