wayno Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Does anyone have a haynes manual to hand for one of these. I'm changing the fork seals this evening and need to get some fork oil. I'm hoping to get some at lunch but being a knob I left the manual at home so don't know how much to get and what grade.
Moderator mervin Posted March 18, 2009 Moderator Posted March 18, 2009 just did a search and this reply came up when someone else asked a couple of years ago. and speedblock 80 is one of the most knowledgeable guys i ever came across Well according to the service information folder for the 600 R you should put 503 cm3 or 17.7 imperial oz in of 10 wt or equivalent oil. My service folder is a 94 folder but pretty certain its the same for all. Hope this helps. thread here fzr fork oil

Hope this helps. thread here fzr fork oil Ah, I got home and the haynes manual said to use 431ml, which is 101mm from the top of the fork leg with no spring in. 503 would just about fill it to the brim and seems a bit much. Oh well whats done is done, it seems to handle ok
