So whats your fav record off all time and why?

for me it's the Metallica track " Nothing else matters" i went through such a shit time for a while in my life like most people do that i kinda lost faith in almost everything ..then i rediscoverd my love of music again so i looked out all my old stuff and bought alot of new cd's and stuff and it helped.

Although my collection spans a few decades I've never found strenght in music, just like I've never looked to faith to help me through bad times, I've always looked to myself to get me through. That and some very good mates.

However, that all changed last year.

Like most solitary adventure riders, you hit rock bottom at some point. For me it was in Hungary, heading for Romaina after only a couple of hour sleep, teaming with rain, missed breakie and dirty. Ahead of me was a ferocious storm and I was already feeling the effects of a long time on the road. I could so easily have given up and turned west for home.

On the MP3 player came a song I'd never heard before called Every River by Runrig - reminds me every time now that I am who I am because of those who love and support me.

Took 40 years, but when they say no man is an island - it's bloody true.

For bikey stuff, I'd add Magic Carpet Ride to the list and Silver Dream Machine just for a giggle!!

However, I'm a big fan of Gary Numan, Joan Jett, Alannah Myles, Whitesnake, Tom Waits, The Sisters Of Mercy and Descendants Of Cain.

Others feature too, but those are the ones I have the complete collections of.

Love seeing peoples replies to these kind of questions. I have so many favourites that it would be very hard to choose but my top four in no particular order would have to be:

Hey Jude - The Beatles

Son of a Preacher Man - Dusty Springfield

Creep - Radiohead

No Suprises - Radiohead
