fzr 600 1989 running problem

hi all ive got an 89 fzr 600 which ticks over fine but when thottle is opened just off idle the engine apears to start hunting and runs rough causing juddering when pulling off.run fine above 2000 rpm. bike is in local bike shop and even the bike tech is running out of ideas.has 150psi comp on all cylinders .carbs cleaned and balanced. even tryed a set of carbs off e bay all be it they were import ones with the mixture screws blanked off .all plugs and leads ok tappets set ok fuel running off a remote tank feed in work shop still doing fault.has micron pipe on but previous owner a sures us ran fine with this .we all think it is a carb fault but so far stiill struggling will put origanal carbs back on at weekend and try again .it feels as thou the change over from idle jet to main needle there is a prob. as a last resort am changing the igniter come e c u controll under seat at weekend just in case.bike is in good condition with 20k on it and has been serviced well but this fluffing and uneven pick up is driving us mad any ideas cheers andy

Have you checked the emulsion tubes (needle jet orifices) on either set of carbs?

Would cause rich condition as you come off idle...

Also, the FZR idle is 1500rpm, correct? and you say its fine above 2000?

Check your charging system, or run it off a car battery and see if you still have the problem. The FZR CDI hates low voltage.
