Posted February 8, 200916 yr just had bike done for mot etc and huge bill to get carb replaced and tyres sorted now found that done a 18 mile trip on what seemed to be a full tank of petrol and just lost power so switched to reserve and filled up?? what i dont get is that i filled up before i left and tank seemed full?? anyone have any ideas what could be?? last thing i need is another garage bill.

Might be you fuel tap blocked and working OK on reserve
February 8, 200916 yr Moderator how much fuel did you fill up with after it ran out, is petrol pissing out of the carb overflow by any chance, could be float needle sticking merv
