  1. The next WEB-RIDERS runs will be the weekend of the

    8th and 9th April.

Hopefully a themed rideout will inspire a few too take part and add a challenge.

The objects for this theme are.....

    1. A bridge

    2. A bicycle

Your task is too involve the objects in some way in your ride.

I leave it up to you as too how.

You may have to be devious

Getting both in the same photo will gain bonus points in the judging and not forgetting your bike as well.

The home of the Web-riders can be found on the forum at

    http://www.yamahardclub.com

    The idea details are there

You will have to register to join the forum and wait for access.

    Please be patient

  2. Recently bought a lovely XS 850 and everything in the garden was sweetness and light until all the indicators packed in last weekend. No problem it's the fuse I hear you say. Sorry no. A bulb had blown so I thought the flasher unit had bit the dust as a result. Where is the f***ing thing. Found the cancelling unit and loads of other stuff but no relay/flasher unit.  Please help a poor demented old soul..

My 76 RD400 has it attached to the plastic part of the rear mudguard behind the right hand side panel.

If your bike has the self canceling indicators then you have to get the proper unit or it will not work.

cheaper ones work fine, just have to remember to turn them off.

  3. Those who replied done exactly wot he wanted, caused a reaction.

He will be coming back to gloat at his results.

No matter how hard it may be, NEVER and I mean NEVER put a reply. No matter how tempting it may be.

Being ignored will wind them up more than you

  4. Thanks for letting me know i will be going to that, if you could let me know where in calne then that would be great.

    cheers mate

A rock band also plays right in the middle

  5. Gear. Hmmmmmmmmm........

Right, I have one £50 helmet. Plain colour and safety marked and does the job for me. Treat it like a baby and protect the visor. I heard a dealer say about helmets once that you cannot skimp on safety. If the helmets have the same testing stickers on then where's the differance. You pay a lot of money for fancy paint.

One pair of show bought gloves £10. Sometimes my hands get cold. So wot, been riding since 1974, I have got used to it. Like swimming in the sea in winter.

One show bought leather jacket £50. You can't beat leather.

One pair of padded leather trousers bought off ebay. I actually bought 3 pair till I found the ones I liked. I sold the others back at a profit ;)

You cant beat leather, I say again. Been riding all winter, although I avoid the rain now, and they keep the cold out.

One pair of £30 waterproof boots. They look cheap but boy are they comfy.

Some of these biker pub nights look like fashion shows. I am also sure that a lot of them think they are better protected because they wear expensive gear. Stupidly they ride with that idea. :o

    I ride a classic RD200 and a RD400 and a XJR1300 for me and the missus.

  6. I bought it for the cruising and low down grunt when me and Lynne go out together.

Over here the 1200 Bandits are as common as muck. I'm a Yamaha man and the XJR is more individual.

I like the fact with both of us on it, it will do 120 like its on a rail in the road.

The R1's of this world may look nice but are not user friendly with a pillion on.

Word is, that next years model will be watercooled

The pub behind is the Red Lion at Avebury in Wiltshire. Wednesday night is biker night and you can't move for bikes
