  1. Hey, when I had my bike it was missing a bolt on both sides but in the same place. Not sure what size bolt I need, does anyone here know? I have attached an image showing where the bolts are, need the one I have labelled "Size?".

Also, the hole in the panel doesn't seem to align very good to where the bolt should go, is this because the other bolts I have put in are too tight and needs to wiggle room?

  2. Hey, i want to do some cosmetic changes, but I don't want to mess up any of the original parts. Is there somewhere I can get for example cheap side panels, can't get them any cheaper than £60 or so, can't justify paying that for a piece of plastic, hell i'd prefer buy a 3d printer before I payed that and make my own lol.

Yeah almost any bike can do 100MPH but it's the cost of getting there that decides if it's worth it or not. Plus the more you fettle it the more delicate it becomes. Do your test and buy a bigger bike.

Thanks guys, going get my full licence, pay this bike off and get something bigger, maybe 650 - 800, not going higher than a 800 though

  4. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good sized and good quality backpack? Current one i'm using is breaking and just a random cheap one.

    I like these ones:

I really like the Oxford one but I want other peoples opinions, they are a well known brand.

  5. Yeah, looking into this I think I have maybe got the wrong number! don't think it will do another 10 HP! lmao!

Defiantly want to get my full bike test done, and might as well do my car whilst im at it. Maybe have this 125 for 1 year before I get something bigger so I know what im doing on it, and pay it off... lol

It had only done 1600 miles when I had it and paid £2500, new they are like £4k so bargain really.

  6. Hey, thinking of just getting a BIT more power out of my bike, not for being silly with and more speed, but maybe give me the ability get out of a situation when doing 50MPH or something.

My mate is a a mechanic and thinks an air filter, and exhaust might give me about 10 extra HP. Can anyone recommend any exhausts which give the bike a bit more power and maybe sound a bit deeper?

And an air filter which gives it more power by letting more oxygen in ?

Be careful - as the satnav wont be in your line of sight you will have to look down to see it unlike in a car. I agree, travelling with sound prompts alone can be a pain. I used to have my phone in the clear part of tank bag (which is much worse than mounted on the yoke) gave up as between having to look down, running out of battery, and not being able to see anything due to sun it became pointless. If I am travelling unknown routes I generally look at the route first then use audio directions. If needed I just pull over to check route.

And hey - sometimes getting lost is part of the fun right?

Very true, I would likely just check it when stopping at lights etc to jog my memory. Might be easier to just get a bluetooth kit for my helmet tbh.

And yeah very true, but usually with my luck my battery is dead when I get lost haha.

As mentioned first I would guess the easiest and safest option would just be a universal RAM mount attached to the yoke.. part of me is wondering why you would mount a phone to sport bike - I mean there is a reason you are finding it difficult and Yam don't make any official phone holding accessories for it. (But then I am also really confused by sporty 125's being ridden off the track anyway! so each to their own I guess - good luck)

Yeah okay, sounds the best option. And need to mount my phone so I can use it as a satnav, it's my transport, I don't go racing around on it, just had it because it was highly recommended and looked the part haha. But yeah, I need a satnav to get around sometimes as my directions are crap, and i'm crap at listening to them, need to see it.

  9. That's a good idea, just found a website with a good range of choices, these two seem a good option, which would you guys advice?

I was thinking the bolt one, as could put it on the bolt circled in the image below, but not sure how secure that would be, would the reservoir cover be a safer bet?
