  1. Seen this on eBay, looks great for a hot day and looks like it would protect skin which would touch the ground if you come off, would you say it's okay to just wear this and be pretty much protected from roadrash etc?

It can become a pain commuting to work or other places and needing to wear the massive jacket or trousers with the knee pads, would be great to just throw some armour on over normal jeans and have it cover areas which contact the ground in a slide.

  2. So, my speed screen, and case has cracked, quite a large crack too... I believe it's due to cold weather and getting warm really quick, but 3 bike workshops I have been say that the plastic is too thick for the weather to crack.

However, there are no signs of an object hitting it, and it doesn't make sense, if you wanted to damage a bike you'd push it over, not punch a hard to reach piece of plastic.

Anyhow, can I buy a second hand speedo and get an approved Yamaha dealer to change the mileage to match my current, or can I do it myself?

They are like £400 new! And i'm selling the bike soon... found second hand ones though for around £40, but the mileage is on like 20,000 where as my bike has only done 4500.

  3. So, been on my YZF R125 for about 7 months now, was hoping to get at least a years experience before I moved up. However I went into some bike shops and saw the Z800 Sugomi.

I was originally set on a GSXR 750 or Ninja 600, but they are so common, I wanted something a little bit different, plus the insurance for a supersport compared to a situp right was quite steep!

This is my YZF R125 2011, Dalkavik exhast (it's loud!)

Awesome bike, but, do you guys have an tips for going to my new Z800 Sugomi, thing is brand new - you will all shout at me for that! - and a LOT more powerful and a LOT heavier, 100KG extra to be precise.

Quickly, why did I buy a brand new bike? Well, I looked high and low, there are no second hand version of this thing, if I found one it was only around £300 cheaper. It was also the LAST one, the dealership said they wont get anymore of these again, found out that it's been replaced with the new Z900, but i'm happy with my Z800.

Sliders, I have gotten the engine slider, front fork slider, cotton reels and tail tidy.

    Just look at this monster!

  4. Hey, so I need to try and get my insurance down and protect my bike from the weather. I currently live with my parents with 2 houses knocked into one. I have been given permission to dig out 1 set of steps, as the house is on a bank (impossible to get bike up there).

So, if I dig out a set of steps far back enough to fit my bike in the space, I want to know if I was to build a small shed in the space, it will fit, could I class this as a garage?

It would be on private land and have walls, roof and door.

My dad is a builder btw so don't worry on the building and digging details, I won't knock the bank down... haha

  5. Well, fedup of cars pulling out on me, just had a taxi miss me by about an inch, need get a camera mounted to my helmet! Next car to pull out on me is loosing it's mirrors!

The only issue with GoPro cameras is that the battery isn't the best, especially if using the button/app as well.

I have seen that you can get 3rd party leads to hook it directly to my battery to power it whilst my bike is running, however I want it waterproof really, to a point. Can anyone recommend a good offical/3rd party case I can put my Hero 4 in to protect it from rain but allow me to plugin the microUSB to charge it whilst riding?

  6. There is nothing in the hit to use though, it's just a positive and negative bullet connector. I have ended up snipping them off and attaching to very small spade connectors, then I have put shrink wrap around one incase they get knocked and touch and just put them inside the block connector. Will do for now.

In the future would you just recommend to attach a widley use connect to both what im adding and the original

  7. Hey, I have got a LED number plate light with my tail tidy, however this LED has got bullet connectors, my bike has got the following kind of connectors. I want to redo the LED light connector as to avoid messing with the stock bike electronics, how would I find out the exact connector which is used for the number plate light, and also the indicators as they are different sizes.

  8. Thanks for the advice guys, I rang my local A&E where I was treated today as the person I spoke to said that if there is no pain or not too much pressure on my jaw it should be okay.

I went out today for a bit and when I put my helmet on there wasn't much pressure at all on the broken part of my jaw and the strap is under my neck more than anything, will see how it goes, if I see any swelling or feeling anything odd I will defiantly stop going on it.

Honestly though, feel no pain and don't feel any pressure on the part of my jaw which is broken.

  9. Hey, so I have had a broken jaw for 2 weeks now, first week I was riding my bike as A&E told me is was just bruised, my got putting the helmet on hurt, which of course because jaw is broken!

Im going to call doctors tomorrow ask them, but surly my helmet shouldn't affect my jaw after 2 weeks, it might push it very slightly but shouldn't put too much pressure on it now right? I need to get out! sick of sitting in my room eating yogurts and soup!

Get the metal plates and stuff out of my mouth in 3 weeks.

  10. Hey, brought some indicators for my bike, and a tail tidy. They both use bullet connectors for power, however my bike has got the block with spade connectors inside, shop down the road sells converters, but like £5 for 2, anyone know what they are called or if I can get them on ebay?
