My 2013 xj 6 seems to be sluggish in acceleration. Any tips?

Hi I'm a new member and introducing myself. I'm Andrew, live in Switzerland, but From UK, and have had the following Yamahas in recent years: TDR, Yamaha XJ 900S and now have a 2-year-old Yamaha XJ6 Diversion (2013) I am very interested in meeting Yamaha XJ6 owners online for chat about technical issues, modifying and adding stuff etc. Am I in the right place?

Thanks. I service myself. Yes, I’ll check the air filter . Does it help to balance the carbs? Thanks again.
