I've never heard of an allen bolt on these before, they're all pin and clips. I think it's a non standard part bodged from a different bike. Just get the standard pins and slot 'em in.

Tampa Bay area, about 120 miles from Daytona. I am thinking, as I have nothing but free time, about going during the week to avoid the crowds. We'll see.
As to the RS100, I got the rings but apparently I was wrong, down in the bore the ring ends overlap so they are too big. As I cannot find the information on the correct size I sucked it up and ordered both a set of standard and 1st overbore (0.25) rings. Seems that rings here in the US run about 30 to 40 bucks, but if I get them from Singapore they are $20 including shipping, it just takes longer to get them. I can wait. I also managed to wrangle the gas cap off, the inside looks clean and rustfree, so that's one less thing, ya know.
Love the Tampa/ St Pete's/ Clearwater areas. Been to Bikeweek three times - missed it this year though

My last experience of Silverstone was also in the late seventies early eighties. I'm quite surprised that the GP is moving to be honest, and yes if the access facilities are still the same, it will be a nightmare getting in and out. Good circuit though.

Sorry for late reply. I haven't managed to sort out the sticker stuff yet as am in the process of moving to Sydney. I am moving in just under two weeks and am really behind on the moving malarky!
Anyway my point being is that I need to get a large batch made which isn't particulary expensive, it's just that delivery will take a while from Australia to you folks in the UK, USA etc.
I have been looking at a couple of companies where you can order direct, and hope to get this sorted out at the weekend.

The kill switch does play up on FZR1000's. Try spraying it with WD40 as it may have dampness inside if it's been stored. Not many other things to go wrong really as these are reliable machines.

Ridden the circuit a few times on my road bike. Need balls of titanium to do those speeds with walls and trees everywhere. Forget any other type of racing, or even any other type of sport - these guys are REAL HEROES.

Got to be the FZR1000 series, revolutionalised sports bikes in the late 80's early 90's, paved the way for the R1, and fifteen years on, can still keep up with the new models.

To be honest, I really don't think Yamaha will bother if we just go ahead and use the fonts, after all, it's hardly going to damage them in any way, and it's actually to their benefit indirectly. They simply won't waste their time, but I can understand Moderator's caution.

I'd love to, but the economy struck me down so I am trying to get it running on the cheap if you will. A $10 set of rings is cheap and easy, beyond that it goes back into the corner and I get started on another project until funds become more available. Ironic, huh, I have the time but not the money right now, as soon as I get the money I will no longer have the time.
What part of Florida you from mate? Going to Daytona Bike Week?
