  1. Couldn't get them in the end so have ended up with Bridgestone
  2. Thanks for the responses guys. Happy days.
  3. Hi I steamed straight in with a question and never introduced myself. Thanks for the feedback on the tyres btw. So I used to ride up until 12 years ago when I had a big off in the Isle of Wight. Used to be a bit of a scooter boy and folded my Vespa P200 into the drivers door of a VW Passat - his fault - and between that and moving around for work, I never got back on. Roll on the years and I'm finally back on two wheels again and loving it. Managed to pick up a 2003 125 Dragstar with 4500 miles on it for £1100 so was made up. Had her imported from Northern Ireland by a guy called Phil from Acceleration. If you ever need a bike shipped, this guy is spot on, I'll forward his details. Looking to move up to a 650 or bigger in the future but want to get a year or so of riding back under my belt to iron out any old bad habits and the 125 does all I need. Will probably keep her regardless. I'm also a drummer and have toured UK and Europe over the years, you can find some recent noises here: https://soundcloud.com/bifteck-1 https://soundcloud.com/bundleofid/charlotte-charlatan https://www.facebook.com/bifteckuk Looking forward to posting further inquiries which are probably simple but I'm a shit mechanic, thanks for checking in. Cheers Dom (PS - On the look out for some leather/TEK panniers if there is a good site?)
  4. Hi Cheers for that. Heard a lot of negativity with the Roadriders so will go viz ze Germans
  5. Thanks for the info. Has a look at the Heidenau's, may go with them. Cheers
  6. Hi New to the forum so go easy if its a dense question! I recently bought a 2003 XVS 125 and although in good condition elsewhere, there is quite distinct cracking in the tyre walls front and back. Any 125 Dragstar riders out there able to offer a suggestion of a good tyre to replace them. The Yamaha dealer has suggested steering clear of Continental? I don't really know much when it comes to tyres, but I commute 30 miles daily in all weathers and do longer distance over the weekends. Any suggestions??? Thanks. Dom
  7. Hi I'm new to the group and I'm just in the process of buying a 125 Dragstar. I have about 7 years riding experience from 1997-2004 nut haven't been on a bike or the scene since. I don't have my full bike license yet and have just retaken the CBT and theory to get myself ready again. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on good insurance companies, and who to avoid? Any help is much appreciated. Cheers Dom
