  1. well after a bit of bad luck with my exhaust snapping in 2 places ,I replaced the battery as the old one was pooped and noticed the main 10 amp fuse was blown, changed that then found 3 places where the wiring loom was chafing on the frame and sorted them out now the fuse keeps blowing after about 4 miles of riding ^^ , not sure what to do ,

I've been off work for the last week with chemical burns to my legs and thought I would take the bike out for a little ride today , so I haven't found the bad earth on the bike I posted about the other day, now I have no indicators today and about half way through my ride I lost my power band , one second It was working fine then ( no power band ) it revs up fine and just as its about to kick in it just goes does nothing , the bike runs fine other than that, no spluttering or anything , now just a thought but could all this be down to a bad battery or something ?

Hi guys, been a while since I've been on because I've been flat out with a house move and new job, since I was here last my beloved Dtr has had new head gasket new wheel bearings , clutch cable and a nice new set of tires, now not being the best mechanic in the world I have had a go at these and nothing has fallen off it yet lol, ( but ) now I have an electrical problem , when I indicate left its fine but indicate right and all the lights go nuts , is there an easy way of finding the problem or have I got a proper headache on my hands lol ? another little problem I had was when the clutch cable snapped , the actuator popped up, so I popped it back in , is this a bad sign or is it ok ? the clutch is working fine by the way ,, Thanks

  4. cheers for the response guys :D I got a strong feeling it might be the reg/rec unit and I think I can get one for around £30 from my local bike dealer , and I love the Idea you had for the bulb monitor NE0 well cool :D and I will be keeping a bicycle LED in my bag from now on , I'm going to have a quick look over the electrics this morning so I'll keep you posted on what I find

HI guys, after a snapped exhaust and a broken ankle I have finally managed to get back on my DTR after about 3 months, so I noticed I only had full beam on the headlight and my tail light had blown so I got a couple of each ,fit one and keep a spare in the shed, anyway all was well when I fitted them but when I got home I noticed the back light had blown again so fitted a new one again it worked but as it was standing there I revved the bike and puff the bloody thing went again , so it seems to be when I revv the bike I blow the back lights, any idea what is causing this? and how to fix this. rather annoying this as its dark when I go to work and dark when I come home and its not a good Idea to ride with no lights :(

What a shit day I had today , rode into work this morning on my DTR 125 and when I got there and started to push my bike in the building I thought to myself, " Hang on there Taff, something isn't right there" and then it poped in there!! , the bloody side fairing is missing on my bike WTF!!!!! that was enough to put me in a shit mood for the day , anyway, on the way home 8 hours later I took my time and rode slow the 10 miles all the time looking for the plastic, and about half way I seen a mangled bit of plastic on the side of the rode and thought could it be!! , YES!!!! it was my plastic although it looked like a million cars had wheel spun on it and a little bit of a crack on it I can fix this bad boy and make it look like new, all but the sticker for it . and to top it all off, I got home with a massive smile on my face only to be slapped back down by my wife with the words " where's the little bit of black plastic gone off the front of your boot " Yes! the nylon slider has gone off the front of my SIDI boot . anyway, back to the point of the post, anybody know where I can get a sticker kit for my bike not to expensive , btw i have a DTR but its made to look like a DT125X.

  7. not ever having to put any in before and was wondering what the ratio of coolant to water is? thinking of giving the bike a nice big service and would like to know a couple of things before i go ahead and this is one, thanks

  8. I have noticed that the pipe that joins the silencer and the expansion chamber is a lot thinner on the BigOne than the DEP witch will effect the pressure I think.

  9. the only thing I have found since taking the bike out for a spin is that the expansion chamber rubs against the bottom of the petrol tank and can get a bit annoying, i'll try and fit a small piece of rubber between them tomorrow

  10. Big One fitted a treat just like you said, the only mount that dosen't line up is the one with the spring on the front of the frame, don't need it though because you have 2 coming off the manifold ,

  11. cheers for the reply's guy's but I must put boots on hold for a month as I have to buy a new exhaust for my baby :( looks like I'll have to craft some steel toe cap sandles to tie me over for a few weeks lol

  12. well, hadn't had a chance to go get the silencer yet witch is lucky in a way as the expansion chamber has all of a sudden got a big hole in it, resulting in waking my neighbors up in the morning ,making me deaf and a slight loss in power. so I will have to get the full thing that will cost about £175 for a Big One system , do I need any rubber mounts or anything?? at the moment the one on it is bolted strait to the frame .
